There have been lots of complaints about the recycling dumpsters. When they get full, the wind blows everything onto yards and the people are getting tired of picking it up. Would you want this in your backyard? Please flatten your cardboard before you put it in the dumpster. It saves room. Please be respectful. If the dumpster is full, take it home with you and bring it back when the dumpster has been emptied. The City and surrounding residents will thank you.
This is the City of Dike Watering Policy. Even numbered houses may water on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Odd numbered houses may water on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday. NO WATERING ON SUNDAY. Your participation of this will help from exceeding our maximum pumping capcity of the two city wells. By doing this it will protect the integrity of the water distribution system and also enable the city to maintain the water level in the water tower that is regulated by the EPA. Any questions or concerns, please contact Shane Metz, City Superintendent at 989-2610.
A copy of the golf cart ordinance can be viewed on the city council page under minutes. Be advised that according to our code and Iowa Code, you must be a licensed driver and have a bicycle safety flag and have a slow moving vehicle sign on your golf cart.
We have a new calendar set up for the community center. This will be a great way for you to check to see if the room is booked. Unless a specific time frame is noted, whoever has the room has it for the whole day.
