The City of Dike will be offering a beginners volleyball clinic for 3rd through 6th grade girls.  This will be a noncompetitive clinic that will give girls the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of volleyball. Cost of the program will be $25.00.  This fee includes a Dike REC t-shirt.  Schedule for practices:  The first practice will be Sunday, September 12 from 2:00 to 3:30 at the Dike elementary gym, with practices September 19, 26 and October 3.  This will end on Sunday, October 10 with a tournament.  You can sign up at the city office.  If you have any questions please call Sarah Bixby at 989-2836.

The Rec Board has t-shirts for sale.  There is the blue Dike Rec Sports shirt or the black RAGBRAI shirt in a variety of sizes at $8 each or 5/$30.00.  Contact anyone on the Rec Board or call the City Office at 319-989-2291 for more information.

Regular council meetings have been changed to the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. 

Hours for the library are:  Monday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Also they will now be open through the noon hour.

Recycling and Garbage information- Check out the Information Page.  We do not accept glass.  Magazines can be left with the newspapers.  Recycling bins are available on Front St. by the City Maintenance shed.
